Currently, there are a total of 18 types of PokémonWith so many Pokémon having more than one type associated with them, it is only natural for some of them to have more weaknesses than the Pokémon who are only one type.

The maximum number of weaknesses that a Pokémon is able to have is 7. When using Pokémon that have multiple weaknesses, a trainer has to be careful not to expose them to the many dangers that could seriously trouble them.

10 Onix Is A Rock & Ground Type

Onix Looks Forward

Although Onix looks like a giant, intimidating snake made out of a chain of rocks, it actually has many things that it is weak against. As a Rock and Ground Type, Onix is weak to 6 things: Fighting, Ground, Steel, Water, Grass, and Ice.

Although Onix is able to burrow through the ground at 5o mph, it’s not quite as impressive in battle. If a trainer wanted to get rid of some of Onix’s weaknesses, it would be a good idea to evolve it into Steelix, which only has 4 weaknesses.

9 Paras Is A Bug & Grass Type

Paras climbs a tree

A Paras has parasitic Tochukaso mushrooms which grow on its back. These mushrooms are praised for being medicine that can give the consumer a long life. Unfortunately, a Paras would not last long in a Pokémon battle, because it is weak to 6 types of Pokémon.

These include Flying, Poison, Rock, Bug, Fire, and Ice. Even if it were to evolve into Parasect, these weaknesses would remain the same, since evolution doesn’t change Paras’ type.

8 Tyranitar Is A Rock & Dark Type

Tyranitar is popular among fans because it looks intimidating and powerful. Although strong enough to be a great addition to a trainer’s team, Tyranitar has a surprising amount of weaknesses that a trainer needs to be wary of. These are: Fighting, Ground, Bug, Steel, Water, Grass, and Fairy.

These weaknesses are still present even if Tyranitar undergoes Mega Evolution. Surprisingly, Tyranitar’s previous evolutions, Larvitar and Pupitar, have one less weakness than Tyranitar does because they are Rock/Ground Types.

7 Exeggcute Is A Grass & Psychic Type

Six Exeggcute Eggs

Exeggcute and its evolution, Exeggcutor, are weak to 7 different types. These types are Flying, Poison, Bug, Ghost, Fire, Ice, and Dark. Since Exeggcute is just a group of six eggs, it makes sense that it would have a large number of weaknesses.

Evolving Exeggcute to an Alolan Exeggcute would eliminate its weakness to the Dark type since Alolan Exeggcute is a Grass and Dragon type, although it doesn’t look like a dragon at all.

6 Celebi Is A Grass & Psychic Type

Celebi flies through the forest

Celebi is a Legendary Pokémon that does not evolve to or from something else. This means that a trainer has to memorize all 7 of its weaknesses if they want to use it. Celebi is weak to Flying, Poison, Bug, Ghost, Fire, Ice, and Dark types.

This is a surprising number of weaknesses for the time-traveling guardian of the forest. There are so many other Legendary Pokémon that it is easy to find a stronger one.

5 Shiftry Is A Grass & Dark Type

Shiftry swings his fan

Shiftry, like its previous evolution Nuzleaf, has a total of 7 weaknesses. Shiftry is weak against Fire, Ice, Fighting, Flying, Fairy, Poison, and Bug. Seedot, Shiftry’s first and weakest form, is only a Grass type but it only has 5 weaknesses.

Thankfully for Shiftry, its Pokédex entries state that despite all of its type weaknesses, Shiftry is still a powerful Pokémon. Its fans can create winds that travel at 100 feet per second.

4 Cacturne Is A Grass & Dark Type

Cacturne jumps off

Cacturne is the same type as Shiftry, which means that it also shares Shiftry’s weaknesses against Fire, Ice, Fighting, Flying, Fairy, Poison, and Bug types. It also has a previous evolution, Cacnea, with only 5 weaknesses.

Cacturne is actually not the type of Pokémon who likes to engage in battle head-on. Usually, it likes to stay in the desert, following its prey at night and attacking after the prey is exhausted from the desert heat.

3 Solrock Is A Rock & Psychic Type

Solrock floats in the air

Solrock is weak to 6 types of Pokémon. These include Bug, Ghost, Steel, Water, Grass, and Dark. As a Rock type, Solrock should be weak to the Ground type too.

However, its ability Levitate actually keeps its body off of the ground, meaning that it is completely immune to Ground type moves. Although Solrock has many weaknesses, it has the ability to sense what others are thinking, giving it an advantage.

2 Snover Is A Grass & Ice Type

Snover raises its arms

Snover and its evolution, Abomasnow, are frost tree Pokémon that are weak against 7 different types. These types are Fighting, Flying, Poison, Rock, Bug, Steel, and Fire.

Both Snover and Abomasnow are Pokémon that prefer to avoid fighting. They are often hiding in mountains under the cover of thick blizzards created by Abomasnow, and can easily camouflage within their snowy environment.

1 Terrakion Is A Rock & Fighting Type

Terrakion smiles

Terrakion is a powerful Legendary Pokémon who comes to the aid of Pokémon that need its help. It is strong enough to destroy a castle on its own and even fought against humans in an effort to protect Pokémon that had lost their homes.

What makes Terrakion’s history more impressive is that it was able to do those things despite having a total of 7 different type weaknesses. It is weak to Fighting, Ground, Steel, Water, Grass, Psychic, and Fairy.
