Cody and Brandi Rhodes are a power couple at AEW, and soon fans will get to see what their busy lives are like outside of the ring in a new unscripted series titled Rhodes to the Top.
The Rhodes, who have been married since 2013 and are currently expecting their first child, will star in a 30-minute reality show on TNT. The trailer for Rhodes to the Top shows fans the kind of personal and professional struggles, appearances from the couple’s family and friends, and humorous moments they can expect from the series, which does not yet have a premier date.
Cody and Brandi Rhodes talked about their new project in a statement, saying, “Since the late 1960s, the Rhodes family has been in one spotlight or another… People think they know us, but this show is the first true look behind the curtain and beyond the ring. They’ll see us fail and succeed, but most importantly, they’ll see us bet on ourselves as we travel the Rhodes to the top.”
AEW’s Founder, CEO, GM & Head of Creative, Tony Khan, added, “I’m thrilled to expand AEW’s relationship with WarnerMedia and TNT, and Rhodes to the Top will represent a new outlet in which our fans can further connect with characters they already love, and new viewers can discover these personalities for the first time.” Khan noted the other new content that the company has coming up this year, saying, “2021 will be a historic year for AEW and our partnership with WarnerMedia.”
Cody Rhodes comes from a legendary wrestling family and has earned a formidable reputation in his own right. He currently serves as an EVP at AEW, and is a judge on the TBS reality series Go-Big Show. Brandi Rhodes is the AEW’s Chief Brand Officer, the first Black woman in a pro wrestling company’s executive role. She has also had a successful wrestling and acting career and hosts a cooking show titled A Shot of Brandi.
Rhodes to the Top provides an authentic, behind-the-scenes look at wrestling’s newest powerhouse couple as they manage the busiest year of their lives, both on the road with AEW and at home in Atlanta with their 3 dogs. Together, Cody and Brandi are putting the Rhodes stamp on the wrestling industry, and they’ve got their work cut out for them.
