Anime characters are created with endless personalities, appearances, and abilities. Often, a character will have one or two traits that make them shine, such as being a genius or being naturally strong. Other times they may have a supernatural power such as control over an element or even skills embedded within their bodies.
However, there are a small number of characters who hit the jackpot between their physical, mental, and supernatural abilities. These characters prove time and time again that they are capable of taking down enemies in massive numbers. When facing a large-scale battle such as an army, these characters would destroy every opponent whether they are humans, monsters, or something entirely different.
10 Homura Would Freeze Time And Set Up Her Own Army Of Weapons (Puella Magi Madoka Magica)
Homura from Puella Magi Madoka Magica has a unique ability to stop time, a skill she has perfected over several years of trial and error as she fought to save Madoka in alternate timelines. Homura can store large amounts of weaponry within her shield, as seen in her fight with Walpurgisnacht.
When faced with an army, Homura would simply freeze time and set up her large arsenal of weapons. Before her enemies could blink, Homura would bring the fight to an end by setting off the weapons one after another.
9 Sebastian’s Demon Abilities Make Him Nearly Invincible (Black Butler)
Sebastian of Black Butler may look like a butler, but he is truly a demon, and his abilities are a perfect fit for him. Sebastian has proven time and time again that he is capable of taking out large groups of enemies using anything as a weapon, even cutlery. He is frighteningly fast, takes little damage, and to top it all off, bullets do not work on him.
Sebastian may take slightly longer than some of the other characters to end the fight. However, there is no doubt he would win with little effort on his part. His biggest hurdle may just be keeping his clothes tidy while doing it.
8 Aizen Would Use Kyoka Suigetsu To Turn His Opponents Against Each Other (Bleach)
Aizen of the Bleach anime is a strong opponent. While many Bleach characters could likely stop an army by themselves, Aizen has a unique ability that would make doing so a simple task.
Not only does Aizen have extremely high abilities across the board, but his zanpakutou, Kyoka Suigetsu, has the ability to put anyone who sees it under an illusion. Aizen can use these however he wishes, such as making other army members appear to be him and having them fight amongst each other. Not only is this destructive power effective against the mass population but it is also near-impossible to break free from.
7 Koro-Sensei’s Biological And Intellectual Advantages Would Make Stopping An Army A Cinch (Assassination Classroom)
Koro-Sensei from Assassination Classroom would have no problem stopping an army by himself. With his Mach 20 speed and nearly-instant reflexes, it would be difficult to stop Koro-Sensei if he were serious about attacking.
To add to this, he is also incredibly intelligent and has a good memory, meaning he would not only be able to come up with a strategy in advance but could change it on the spot if need be. He is also immune to poison and can regenerate his body if he is wounded. Koro-Sensei would likely be no more than a blur as the army falls before him.
6 Puck Would Freeze Everything By Becoming The Beast Of The End (Re: Zero)
While formidable on his own, Re:Zero‘s Puck has a terrifying side to him that is nearly impossible to defeat. This form is known as The Beast Of The End and is responsible for many of Subaru’s deaths in the anime. The Beast Of The End can freeze everything around it, sometimes even breaking the body into pieces, a fate Subaru suffers multiple times.
If Puck were to transform when fighting an army, most of them would be frozen before ever reaching him. In the unlikely event that some of his opponents manage not to freeze, it would be a simple exercise for him to finish them off.
5 Gilgamesh Would Use The Gate Of Babylon To Summon Endless Weapons (Fate)
Gilgamesh appears in many iterations of the Fate series, proving his capability in battle with each one. With a Noble Phantasm which gives him access to his treasures, a nearly limitless amount of weapons, Gilgamesh is one of the most powerful Heroic Spirits to ever be summoned.
The speed at which Gilgamesh can summon and strike with his weapons is so quick that he could hit his opponent multiple times before they register that they have been hit at all. Facing an army, Gilgamesh would have no problem with summoning a massive amount of weapons and raining them down for an ultimate victory.
4 Otosaka Yuu’s Collection Of Abilities Make Him Nearly Invincible (Charlotte)
Otosaka Yuu from the Jun Maeda series Charlotte ends the series by setting out and completing a mission to steal all of the powers from ability users across the globe to prevent death and destruction in the future. By the end of the series, Yuu is basically invincible.
He can use multiple offensive abilities which can affect a large group of attackers at once, stop bullets, and shield himself as needed. He can also heal himself and can do massive damage to the area through one of his more destructive powers, such as Collapse. An army would have little time to react if Yuu decided to fight against them.
3 Levi’s Speed, Power, And Ingenuity Make Him A One-Man Army (Attack On Titan)
There is a reason Levi’s enemies warn each other about him in Attack On Titan: he is Humanity’s Strongest Soldier, a name well-earned. Levi is incredibly agile, perceptive, and deadly when the situation deems it necessary. Levi takes down Titans easily, and is never wasteful, using even the broken pieces of his swords to injure his opponents. He shows his resourcefulness in using everything from a gun to his equipment to fight against Kenny and his attackers as well.
Levi also has some experience taking down several attackers at once, such as when he fought off Zeke’s Titans with only two blades remaining and no trees around. Facing an army, Levi would pose a serious threat, especially if they made the mistake of underestimating him as just one man.
2 Lucy Would Be Merciless When Using Her Vector (Elfen Lied)
Lucy from the horror anime Elfen Lied would have no problem stopping an army. After all, she destroyed floors of armed guards with no effort on her part. Lucy’s ability, Vector, involves invisible limbs which she controls, which allow her to quickly destroy her opponents en masse. Lucy has also proven that she can fend off bullets, so attacking her would likely do nothing to stop her rampage.
By using the Vectors to stop the rain of bullets, Lucy would have the advantage. She has also proven that she can use items in her environment to inflict fatal damage, such as pens, wood and concrete, and even large machinery. Against Lucy’s power, an army would certainly be defeated.
1 Saitama Would End Things With One Punch (One-Punch Man)
Saitama of One-Punch Man needs only to land one punch on his opponent to win. As the series progresses, Saitama showcases stronger punches, moving from a regular punch to consecutive regular punches to a highly effective serious punch.
Saitama has proven he is highly capable in hand-to-hand combat, is incredibly durable and able to take damage without losing his ability to fight, and most importantly, can punch so hard he can literally split the sky around him. Saitama would only need to land one punch, and he could wipe out the entire army as well.
