The Marvel Universe is full of different types of heroes. Some are a lot more grounded than the larger-than-life high fliers that many fans have grown to love throughout the years and thus their adventures differ greatly. This is shown even in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the heroes having very differently toned and packed films.
However, there are quite a few Marvel characters that would work better in a longer-running Disney+ series, like Wandavision, rather than in a featured film. These heroes vary from those that are more normalized to the crazy powerful ones that travel the cosmos.
10 Spider-Man Is One Case Everyone Can Agree On
The friendly neighborhood hero, Spider-Man, is one character that is absolutely no stranger to the episodic formula of a television series. He’s literally the perfect fit for a Disney+ series.
Spider-Man is a street-level hero with a wide variety of foes and it would take forever for a film series to introduce all of them. A series would be a great fix for this issue.
9 The Hulk Is In Need Of A Series
Bruce Banner and his alter-ego, the Incredible Hulk are two characters that have been done worse than most in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with most of their character growth done off-screen.
These characters are in dire need of a longer series to look into Bruce, his horrific past, his multiple personalities, and his journey to mastering his Hulk side and becoming Professor Hulk.
8 War Machine Would Be A Great Fit
War Machine is one character whose work is never done. With Iron Man out of the picture, James Rhodes is the new leading iron hero of the Marvel Cinematic world.
This means that he has a lot of work on his shoulders and will be tasked with cleaning up Tony’s messes left behind and flying around the globe providing protection.
7 Black Widow Is One Character That Would Benefit Greatly from a series
Black Widow is one character whose mythos was finally explored a few films into the Cinematic Universe with the hit movie Captain America: Winter Soldier.
Of course, there’s a lot more to the character that may be seen with the Black Widow film, but there are a lot more missions fans are missing out on that could provide a lot more world exploration.
6 Nick Fury Would Be Interesting To Explore
Not every Marvel Cinematic fan is aware that Nick Fury is simply a codename for the person tasked with leading S.H.I.E.L.D., which means, once upon a time, Nick Fury wasn’t the leading man.
A Disney+ series about Nick’s rise to leadership and earlier days in the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization would be one of the most interesting of the bunch.
5 Doctor Strange Has A Great Mythos To Follow
Yet another character that has tons of stories that would be amazing to see done in a longer series is Doctor Stephen Strange. This mysterious character has a lot going for him.
From mastering his magic to finding mystical artifacts, there is a seemingly endless amount of plotlines this kind of series could look into that fans would love.
4 Shocker Would Be Fun To Follow
Not many Marvel fans think about how fun it is to follow the villains of the universe, let alone one of the more unique and small-time villains like Herman Schultz.
The Shocker is one very interesting villain when series look into his past and his ambitions. This was the case when the Superior Foes of Spider-Man series was released featuring him.
3 The Prowler Is Another Villain That Could Work In A Series
Aaron Davis appeared in the MCU film, Spider-Man: Homecoming and left many fans wondering just when he was going to become the villain he is known for.
The Prowler is a Marvel villain that has been through a lot of changes, even becoming a partner to Spider-Man at one point. He’d make for a great villain-to-hero story.
2 Shuri’s New Adventures Would Be Very Fun To Watch
It is being speculated that Shuri might be taking over as the Black Panther and ruler of Wakanda in the upcoming Black Panther 2 when it is finally revealed.
While it is hard to continue the series with Chadwick Boseman gone, it’s sure that Marvel will do it gracefully and with full respect to him in the role of the first movie. Watching T’Challa’s sister take his mantle and become the new Black Panther would be great to follow episodically.
1 Valkyrie Needs A Long Series
Valkyrie left MCU fans with a ton of questions at the end of Avengers: Infinity War with her taking over for Thor in ruling over the new Asgard as queen.
It is assumed that this job will be a very tall order that will be covered sooner or later in the films of the series, but it would be great to watch the warrior-turned-leader learn to be a great ruler.
