Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s seventh and final season premiered on Wednesday, and with the premiere, producers Jeph Loeb, Melissa Tanchaeron, and Jed Whedon opened up about what fans can expect as the season rolls on – including a crossover with the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“Something will definitely happen,” Tanchaeron told Deadline when asked if the Agents might crossover with other known aspects of the MCU in the course of their time travel adventure.

“We’re going to bump into something,” echoed Whedon and Loeb, though none of the producers offered specifics.

A teaser of the full season shown after the premiere showed a glimpse of an attack on the Triskelion – the three-pronged S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters building that was destroyed in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, indicating that the Agents could bump into some aspect of that story in their quest.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Wednesday nights on ABC.
