Director Edgar Wright has announced that his film Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, which adapts the Brian Lee O’Malley comic book of the same name, will return to cinemas in the near future.
Wright tweeted the news following a watch-along of the film, stating the re-release was originally planned for this August to mark the 10th anniversary of Scott Pilgrim‘s release, but those plans were postponed due to theater closings cause by coronavirus.
“We were going to do this in August, but make no mistake, this will happen soon. [Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World] back on the big screen,” Wright tweeted. “Can’t wait.”
No specific date was announced.
