The Image Comics title Retcon returns this fall with a sequel chasing down soviet werewolves titled Dodge!. Writer/creator Matt Nixon is back, this time teaming with artist Mike Rooth and going direct to fans with a Kickstarter that’s already exceeded its goal with almost two weeks to go.
“With Retcon Volume 1 (Image), I set a new universe in motion. The physics of that story allow me to retcon my own creation and with that we get to tell more specific sorts of stories, like the werebear commando Chris ‘the Animal’ Dodge’s origin,” Nixon said in a statement.
“Set during the Cold War, Dodge! tells the modern origins of the Paranormal Ordnance Disposal team seen in Retcon Volume 1,” reads the Kickstarter description for the series. “Returning for Dodge! are Keith Swan, the bionic commando turned world-ending villain and of course Chris ‘the Animal’ Dodge.”
Dodge! is being published through a new company Abide, with the first issue set for release this September.
