Auctionhouse Sotheby’s has announced plans to auction a large lot of original art and other items from the world of manga and anime, including Pokemon, Dragonball, Gundam, and My Neighbor Totoro.
The auction, titled ‘Manga’ by Sotheby’s, will include 60 pieces on auction, along with a further 95 pieces sold through a gallery exhibition, for a total listing of “over 120 pieces” of manga memorabilia.
The auction and gallery will be held at Sotheby’s Hong Kong S|2 Gallery from April 29 through May 8, with online auctions taking place from May 5-11. An online gallery of the items for sale will be available through Sotheby’s website, though it has not gone live yet.
