DC will digitally release a selection of exclusively OGNs, collections, digital-first titles and reprints again this week.
The release list includes Anti/Hero Young Readers OGN, Batman Vol. 12: City of Bane Pt. 1, DC Poster Portfolio: The Complete Year of the Villain Portrait Variants, Famous First Edition: New Fun Comics #1, Green Lantern by Geoff Johns Book Three, New Gods by Gerry Conway and Teen Titans GO! vs Teen Titans GO! Box Set on Tuesday, April 14.
The digital-first Batman: The Adventures Continue #2 and Teen Titans GO! to Camp #8 , along with the reprints of DC 1st Issue Special #10, Detective Comics #358, Eclipso #5, House of Mystery #206, Super Friends #6, The Spectre #6 and Weird Mystery Tales #2 will be on sale on Wednesday, April 15.
For the third week in a row since Diamond suspended print distribution to the comic book Direct Market as of April 1, the publisher will not digitally release any new day-and-date comic books that will also not reach comic shops simultaneously as originally solicited.
DC has not officially announced a policy against releasing new day-and-date comics digitally and last month told retailers they were exploring a “multi-distributor model” and then separately seemed to announce their intention to release new comics digitally, explaining they considered digital and print consumers separate audiences. However, they have not yet released, confirmed the schedule of, or announced the release of any titles but collections, OGNs, reprints, and digital-firsts since the Diamond suspension.
