Valiant Entertainment’s Senior Editorial Director Robert Meyer has announced that he has taken a new position at Oni Press. Meyers began work today in Portland as Oni’s Senior Editor of Licensing.
“Thrilled to announce that today I am joining the team at Oni Press, as Senior Editor, Licensing!” Meyers tweeted.
Oni posted this position in early March, framing it as editing and overseeing all of the comapny’se licensed titles, as well as to ” target and acquire new license opportunities in comics as well as in sister categories such as art books and tabletop gaming.”
He will report to Editor-in-Chief Sarah Gaydos, Senior VP of Creative & Buss Development Charlie Chu, and Publisher James Lucas Jones.
Meyers leaves Valiant after 15 months as Editorial Director, but 7 years overall since he began with the New York-based company as an intern. A few weeks back, Valiant announced the promotions of Heather Antos and Lysa Hawkins to Senior Editors.
