Indiana Jones star Harrison Ford has opened up about when production will begin for the upcoming fifth installment of the venerable franchise, telling two separate outlets that it will begin in as early as April or as late as this summer.

Speaking in an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, released February 13, Ford stated “I’m gonna start doing Indiana Jones in about two months,” placing production start time around April.

Then speaking with Ellen Degeneres for her talk show (viewable here, via The Hollywood Reporter), Ford said “We hope to start soon, this summer,” though he didn’t specify any timeframe beyond that.

The still officially untitled Indiana Jones 5 is scheduled for a July 9, 2021 theatrical release.
