Robert Aramayo has been cast in the lead role in Amazon’s Lord of the Rings TV series, according to Deadline. Aramayo will reportedly play a young hero named Beldor, replacing Will Poulter, who exited the role due to “scheduling conflicts.”
Other actors cast in Lord of the Rings include Morfydd Clark, Markella Kavenagh, Ema Horvath, and Joseph Mawle.
Aramayo is best known for playing a young Eddard “Ned” Stark in HBO’s Game of Thrones, appearing in flashbacks as a younger version of the character made famous by Sean Bean. Aramayo has a role in 20th Century Fox’s upcoming The Empty Man adaptation a well as The King’s Man.
Amazon’s Lord of the Rings is anticipated to debut in 2021.
