Former Colossus actor Daniel Cudmore has joined the cast of Hulu’s Helstrom, according to Deadline. Cudmore will reportedly play Keith Spivey, a nurse working at St. Teresa – a medical institution where the Helstrom siblings’ mother, Victoria, has been living for 20 years.

The Spivey role is seemingly a newly-created character, not pulled from anything in Marvel comic books.

According to the Hollywood trade, Cudmore’s role will be recurring through the season.

Cudmore is best known for playing Colossus in 20th Century Fox’s X2, X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men: Days of Future Past, and Dark Phoenix (although that scene was cut from the theatrical release).

Cudmore has become a superhero jack of all trades, going on to appear as three seperate characters in CW’s Arroverse – Jackhammer (Arrow), Gridlock (The Flash), and Minotaur (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow).

Filming of Helstrom is underway now, and Marvel has announced that the show is scheduled to debut on Hulu in 2020.
