Microsoft are unveiling a new glass digital storage disc technology this week – and to test the limits of it, they stored a copy of Warner Bros.’s 1978 Superman: The Movie.
No, it’s not pirated – they worked with Warner Bros. on this project.
These discs measure 7.5 cm x 7.5 cm x 2 mm – about the size of a drink coaster. The Superman: The Movie files are approximately 75.6 gigabytes of data.
No timetable for public release of this technology was given.
