Warner Bros. have announced that the first season of DC Universe’s Harley Quinn will be 13 episodes – despite ordering 26 episodes of the of the show.
Harley Quinn, which is scheduled to debut December 6, was announced in November 2017 as a “26-episode adult animated series.” The season 1 finale – episode 13 – is scheduled to air February 21, 2020.
So what happened to the other 13 episodes? Don’t get upset – animation studios commonly break up long seasons into two parts (such as DC Universe’s Young Justice: Outsiders) or split off part into a new, second season (such as with Netflix’s Castlevania).
Representatives for DC Universe/Warner Bros. did not respond to Newsarama’s inquiries.
