A new western is riding into comic books this February: Savage Bastards. Writer David Gailiano and artist Carlos Angeli are crafting a ‘tale of mud, blood, guts, and glory’ about two half-brothers chasing their sociopathic father and his crew of “crazy bastard children” after they abducted one of their mothers.
“My vision for Savage Bastards was to create an alternate history western, laden with classic western tropes like high-noon duels and train heists, but with a fantasy twist,” said Gailiano. “The characters in Savage Bastards are motivated by strong emotions, such as love, loss, and revenge.”
Savage Bastards #1 (of 5) is scheduled to debut this February.
