Samara Weaving has been cast as Scarlett in Paramount’s Snake Eyes. First reported by The Wrap, Weaving will join a cast to include Henry Golding (Snake Eyes), Andrew Koji (Storm Shadow), and Ursula Corbero (Baroness).
Weaving is best-known for playing Nelson Rose in Showtime’s SMILF, and recently completed filming as Thea Preston for BIll & Ted Face The Music. The model-turned-actor is the niece of Hugo Weaving.
Set as a prequel to Paramount’s previous G.I. Joe films, Snake Eyes will reportedly center on the character joining the Arashikage Clan of ninja. The film wil be directed by Red‘s Robert Schwentke from a screenplay by Beauty and the Beast‘s Evan Spiliotopoulos.
Snake Eyes is set to open in theaters October 16, 2020.
