Press Release

Comic Book Publisher Machina Corpse is launching a Kickstarter campaign to fund their first comic book “First Offerings” and to set up operations for future graphic novels. Machina Corpse focuses on all things horror, spooky, creepypasta, and nosleep. The Kickstarter is live until October 30, 2019, you can find the project at

Machina Corpse is co-founded by comics creators Stephen Emond (Emo Boy, Happyface, Winter Town) and Chandra Free (The God Machine, Fraggle Rock, John Carpenter’s Tales For A Halloween Night). Both have been in publishing for the past decade-plus and are looking to embark on publishing their own comics and others.

“Horror is an amazing genre,” Emond stated. “You can do so many imaginative and creative things and horror comes in all shapes and sizes, from family drama, to slice of life, action, even humor.” Emond believes there’s a ripe audience for horror-themed comics. “The audience for horror is looking to be scared, we open our most vulnerable selves to this art form, we let these stories in on a deep level, and comic books are the perfect story-telling tool between the art and writing and the singular vision a creator can provide.”

Emond and Free are looking to follow that singular vision outside of mainstream publishing into a new world where anything they think can be made. Machina Corpse is looking to fund $6,200 by October 30th to make that vision a reality, visit them on social media @machinacorpse, at, or on Kickstarter, search for Machina Corpse: Unearthed.
