Joker co-writer/director Todd Phillips has issued a ‘Thank you’ letter to fans following the Warner Bros. film’s success with over $258m at the box office so far.

“Thank you to everyone for showing up!!” Phillips posted on Instagram. “It’s been a bumpy ride but reading your feedback and feeling all the love makes it all worth it. #Joker is everywhere.”

Joker has earned an estimated $258.1 million at the box office through Monday.

Phillips has previously said he’d be interested in a Joker sequel but only if Phoenix was involved. The director’s next film is scheduled to be a Hulk Hogan bio-pic starring Chris Hemsworth.
