Writer/director/actor Jon Favreau is no stranger to holiday classics – he directed Christmas favorite Elf. But now he wants to put a new spin on a very different holiday movie – 1978’s notorious Star Wars Holiday Special.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight‘s Ash Crossan, Favreau (who is showrunner of the Disney+ Star Wars show The Mandalorian) says he wants to create a new Star Wars Holiday Special for Disney+.

“Someday, maybe on Disney+, we’ll do a Holiday Special too,” Favreau said. “Wouldn’t that be wonderful?”

But don’t go opening gifts before they’re delivered, as Favreau hasn’t even taken the idea to Disney and Lucasfilm yet.

“I gotta pitch that to them. We’ll see,” he concludes.
