Remember when Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury warned Tony Stark about the X-Men and Spider-Man back in 2008’s Iron Man post-credits scene? We don’t neither, but Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has revealed an alternate, unfinished post-credits scene with Fury where he references “mutants” and “radioactive bug bites.”
At the @SaturnAwards, Kevin Feige presented an alternative and deleted post-credit scene from #IronMan where Nick Fury mentions “mutants” and “radioactive bug bites.” Someone had big plans very early on. pic.twitter.com/1ILZhE97L4

(This scene, as you recall, was written by Brian Michael Bendis, although there could have been some on-set improvisation.)
This will be one of several new video packages to be included in a 23-movie Infinity Saga boxed set to be released by Disney later this year.
While at the time Marvel Studios didn’t own the film rights to the X-Men or Spider-Man, they were working with other studios – Feige was a producer on Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man films and were working with Universal Pictures on the second Hulk film.
Oh by the way, eagle-eyed viewers might notice whatever office of conference room Feige recorded the intro in, there is a Fantastic Four #1 poster in the background on the left. The other artwork has not been identified.
