Netflix and the Lucifer showrunner Ildy Modrovich have both said unequivocably that the upcoming fifth season is the show’s last – but they themselves have found a way to make it longer by adding more episodes.
The streaming service has announced that the previously-announced 10-episode season will now be 16 episodes. Take a look:

Neither Netflix or those involved with Lucifer have given a reason for the change, however it is more in line with the show’s original Fox run – the three Fox seasons were comprised of 13, 18, and 26 episodes respectively, while the Netflix’s fourth season was a relatively smaller 10.
Netflix has not announced a planned release date for the fifth season of Lucifer.
