A new series of Instagram teasers for HBO’s upcoming Watchmen TV series seem to focus on Regina King’s Angela Abar – implying she may be a new iteration of classic Watchmen character Hooded Justice.

Note the caption on the middle teaser – “Honor is like the hawk – sometimes it must go hooded.”
Hooded Justice was one of the original 1939 Minutemen in the Watchmen comic book universe, and one of the heroes who tried to revive the team years later. Though his identity was never revealed, it was implied that he was a closeted homosexual man who was murdered for his identity.
HBO’s Watchmen is expected to premiere later this year.
