Andrea Towers has stepped down as Marvel Comics’ Sales and Communication lead. Towers, who joined the company in March 2017, posted a statement on her personal Twitter account confirming the exit.

“Hey friends – as some of you may have noticed, as of last week I’m no longer with Marvel,” Towers tweeted. “Change is important and healthy, and I’m going to take the time to indulge in some self care and focus on redefining my career goals and future wants.”

This comes two months after the debut of her book, Geek Girls Don’t Cry: Real-Life Lessons From Fictional Female Characters.

At Marvel, Timothy Cheng and Robin Belt are seen to be handling Towers’ word for the time being. A “Junior Sales & Communications Administrator” opening was posted Monday on Marvel’s website.
