Snowpiercer is jumping from TNT to TBS for a spring 2020 debut – and has already been renewed for a second season, according to Deadline. Announced during both channels’ upfronts on Wednesday, Snowpiercer stars Jennifer Connelly and Daveed Diggs.

Snowpiercer is the perfect show to kick-off TBS’ entry into dramas with intricate storytelling, stunning visuals and first-class acting,” said Brett Weitz, TBS and TNT’s General Manager. “We believe in the longevity of this series and that audiences will be amazed by the fantastical world that brings to life such relevant social, political and environmental issues.”

Snowpiercer is based on the comic book series of the same name (and the 2013 film adaptation).

A specific spring 2020 release date has not been announced.
