Thor: Ragnarok actor Tessa Thompson, who played Valkyrie in the film, says that talks have taken place for a fourth Thor movie, with director Taika Waititi discussed to return.
“I heard that a pitch has happened for [another Thor film],” Thompson told the L.A. Times, qualifying her own statement. “I don’t know how real that intel is, but I hear that the pitch has happened. I think the idea is Taika would come back.”
If a Thor 4 is filmed, it would be the first Marvel Studios solo franchise to reach a fourth film. It would also mark the third time working together for Ragnarok co-stars Thompson and Chris Hemsworth, who also co-star in the upcoming Men In Black: International.
Hemsworth himself previously said he has discussed the plot for a potential fourth Thor film with Waititi, in casual terms.
It’s unclear whether Valkyrie, who survived Avengers: Infinity War off-camera according to press materials, will appear in April 26’s Avengers: Endgame.
