A prequel to writer Jacques Lob and artist Jean-Mac Rochette’s Snowpiercer OGN series is scheduled to debut this September, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Rochette will be working with Triggerman writer Matz on this new volume.

While Casterman produced the previous volumes, Statix Press (an imprint of Titan Comics) is originating this new fifth volume.

Extinction will be the fifth volume in the Snowpiercer series, which debuted in France back in 1982 and was popularized in North America with the 2013 film starring Chris Evans. TNT has been developing a live-action version of Snowpiercer for the past three years, but has not announced a planned debut.
