Warner Bros. has hired screewriter David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick to pen a draft of Aquaman 2, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Johnson-McGoldrick worked on the first Aquaman film, which has grossed over $1.1 billion at the global box office.
However, the Hollywood trade says that director James Wan has not yet signed on to helm the film – though he will reportedly serve as producer on the sequel.
Aquaman is in theaters now.
