Moon Knight’s Mr. Knight Funko Pop! Is Dapper as Hell

The latest episode of Marvel’s Moon Knight introduced a new persona to the equation: Mr. Knight, Steven Grant’s manifestation of a hero during a moment of crisis. Now, Mr. Knight has a Funko Pop! figure of his own, and it’s just about as dapper as can be.

The new Pop! is available to pre-order from Entertainment Earth. It features the Mr. Knight of the TV series posed with a baton in each hand, dressed in a snazzy white three-piece suit. A white mask with a crescent moon emblem and a prominent seam covers his entire head so that only his Funko-style round eyes are visible.

Moon Knight is based on a Marvel Comics character created by Doug Moench and Don Perlin, which debuted in 1975’s Werewolf by Night #32. In the comics, mercenary Marc Spector is given a second chance at life when the Egyptian god Khonshu grants him the opportunity to redeem the deeds of his past. Khonshu makes him the bearer of the god’s powers on Earth, or “the Fist of Khonshu,” instructing Marc to use his new powers to protect and avenge the innocent.

Mr. Knight is also a character from these comics, although there are several drastic differences in how he enters the story and his function in the plot. Created by Warren Ellis and Declan Shalvey in 2014, Mr. Knight is a distinct personality who uses money and diplomacy to seek justice in the world, a counterbalance to Moon Knight’s direct and violent approach to fighting crime.

The second episode of Moon Knight, “Summon the Suit,” continued the struggle that began in the premiere between Marc and the meek museum gift shop worker Steven Grant, both played by Oscar Isaac. Marc’s ability to transform into Khonshu’s avatar Moon Knight is unthinkable for Steven, but when under attack and panicking, Steven manages to manifest an alter-ego of his own. Instructed by Marc’s wife Layla to “summon the suit,” Steven visualizes the crisp white costume that resembles the Mr. Knight of the comics.

However, Steven is still the mind beneath the suit, and instead of allowing Marc to take control and win the fight, he decides to use Mr. Knight’s powers himself. Although Mr. Knight is a new addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, his sharp design and charm may turn him into a fan favorite.

Fans who want a Funko Pop! Mr. Knight of their own can pre-order now, with the figure debuting in August. New episodes of Moon Knight air Wednesdays on Disney+.
