Kirby and the Forgotten Land Winter Horns Blueprint Guide

Everyone’s favorite Nintendo character, the adorable and friendly pink blob Kirby, received a major upgrade with the franchise’s latest Switch game, Kirby and the Forgotten Land. The title’s release coincides with the franchise’s 30th anniversary, and players are more than satisfied with the outcome.

Completionists will be happy to hear about the Waddle Dee rescue aspect of the game, where Kirby has to find a certain number of Waddle Dees hidden in each stage. Waddle Dees are not the game’s only collectible, however; players must also locate Blueprints in each world. Blueprints allow players to upgrade Kirby’s copy abilities, which is extremely useful for approaching more difficult challenges and enemies. Here’s how to find the Blueprints located in the Winter Horns world.

The Dragon Fire Blueprint Is Located In The Windy, Freezing Seas Stage

Dragon Fire is the third stage of the base Fire Copy Ability, and it turns Kirby into a pink-purple dragon with a long-reaching flamethrower, which will grow bigger if players charge the flames by holding B. The Jump Attack, achieved by pressing A and B together, causes Kirby to grow dragon wings and is incredibly stylish. In addition to the in-game currency cost of 800 Star Coins and 2 Rare Stones, players must locate the Dragon Fire Blueprint to obtain the ability.

The Dragon Fire Blueprint is inside a Treasure Chest in the Windy, Freezing Seas stage. To reach the Treasure Chest, players must melt a frozen Scissor-Lift with the Fire Ability toward the end of the level. Kirby transforms into the Scissor-Lift Mouthful Mode and must move to the right side to reach the cliff that the Treasure Chest is on.

Frosty Ice is the evolution of the base Ice Copy Ability. Kirby puts on a cute bear hat for this ability and can breathe ice to damage enemies. The Ice Ability also allows Kirby to figure skate through areas of lava and mud. This upgrade costs players 500 Star Coins and 2 Rare Stones. However, players must still locate the Frosty Ice Blueprint. The Blueprint is in the Battle of Blizzard Bridge stage and is pretty easy to find. After players simultaneously defeat two Wild Frosty mid-bosses toward the end of the level, a Treasure Chest spawns that contains the Frosty Ice Blueprint.

The Homing Bomb Blueprint Is Located In An Unexpected Beast King Stage

Homing Bomb is the final evolution of the base Bomb Ability. This ability lets Kirby deploy bombs that can sense where enemies are located and move toward them to cause damage. Homing Bomb costs 800 Star Coins and 3 Rare Stones, but players still need to locate the Blueprint. The Homing Bomb Blueprint is also easy to locate. It spawns after the King Dedede boss fight during the “An Unexpected Beast King” stage. After finding all the Blueprints in Winter Horns, Kirby’s quest continues as there are more Blueprints to find and more Waddle Dee friends to rescue.
