WWE Legend Tammy Sytch Allegedly Caused Fatal Car Crash While DUI

WWE Hall of Famer Tammy Sytch, known by her ring name Sunny, was allegedly responsible for the death of a 75-year-old man due to a car accident.

According to TMZ, police in Ormond Beach believe Sytch was under the influence of alcohol when she caused a car crash in February, though a blood sample is still pending. “OBPD has requested an expedited timeframe on the processing of these samples, and the results will be made available as soon as the department receives them,” a spokesperson for the Ormond Beach Police Dept. said. The results will determine whether the police pursue criminal charges against Sytch, whom witnesses say was “driving at a high rate of speed” before striking the victim’s vehicle from behind at a stoplight.

Sytch has faced legal issues in the past, including previous alcohol-related driving infractions.

After several years in Smoky Mountain Wrestling in the early 1990s, Sytch debuted in WWE (then WWF) in 1995. She briefly served as a commentator before taking on the name Sunny and serving as a valet. After leaving WWE in 1998, Sytch appeared in ECW, WCW and the independent circuit, making brief returns to WWE in the late 2000s and early 2010s. She was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011.
