Based on the Dark Horse Comics character of the same name created by writer/artist Mike Mignola, del Toro’s first Hellboy film released in theaters in 2004. Its sequel, The Golden Army, followed suit in 2008. In The Golden Army, Prince Nuada Silverlance (Luke Goss) attempts to awaken an ancient army in order to destroy humankind, leaving Hellboy (Ron Perlman), Liz (Selma Blair) and Abe Sapien (Doug Jones) to put a stop to his plans.
