Secret Spider-Man Villain Cameos in No Way Home | CBR

Though Spider-Man: No Way Home took theaters by storm months ago, fans are still discovering new hidden details and cameos aplenty upon multiple viewings. Nods to previous Spider-Man films and hints for upcoming projects litter the newest Marvel Cinematic Universe entry, and more recently, viewers noticed three familiar forms appear during its climax.

No Way Home took the MCU into new territory, diving into the multiverse and the ramifications of multiple realities converging. With a slew of appearances by iconic past villains like Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin and Jamie Foxx’s Electro, eagle-eyed fans were curious to see if any other iconic Spider-Man characters would make an appearance when all those who knew Spider-Man converged with the MCU timeline after the final battle; and they were not disappointed. Here are three easy-to-miss villains that show up during the finale of No Way Home.

Kraven the Hunter’s Spear Is Clearly Visible

Anyone familiar with Spider-Man’s crusade for justice has no doubt heard of the menacing large-game hunter known as Kraven the Hunter. The Russian villain is one of Spider-Man’s most formidable foes, as he sees Spider-Man as the ultimate prey. Desiring nothing more than defeating Spider-Man to prove himself as the “World’s Greatest Hunter,” Kraven’s been a thorn in Peter Parker’s side for quite some time. Boasting incredible physical strength, renowned tracking abilities and enhanced senses, this founding member of the Sinister Six can be seen in the crowd of multiversal individuals as Doctor Strange fights to right reality in No Way Home.

Scorpion’s Silhouette Is Unmistakable

Another classic enemy of Spider-Man, fans can be sure to spot Scorpion’s unique silhouette and tail alongside Kraven. Ranked by IGN as Spider-Man’s 10th greatest adversary, the former private investigator turned scorpion-mutant is all too familiar with fighting the web-slinger. With his hardened exoskeleton, superhuman strength, predatory instincts and of course his venomous tail, the thought of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man having to face the enraged mutant is equal parts terrifying and thrilling.

The Six-Armed Spider-Man Variant Is Waiting in the Wings

Spider-Man Six Arms

Perhaps the least well-known of the three No Way Home cameos is the Six-Armed Spider-Man, who can be seen next to the other iconic foes. As his name implies, this version of Peter Parker is not necessarily a villain, but he could certainly pose problems for Holland’s Spider-Man in the future.

Originally from Earth-92100, this Peter Parker tried to get rid of his abilities by creating a potion to erase his powers. Unfortunately, the concoction backfired and gave him four extra arms. Even more horrifying, the metamorphosis eventually evolved even further, giving Peter fangs, multiple eyes and making him more spider than human. While he may be more creepy than villainous, there’s no doubt the Six-Armed Spider-Man would be a jarring addition to the MCU. After all, he has the same abilities as any other Spider-Man, only with triple the arms, making him a force to be reckoned with.

With Sony’s Kraven the Hunter film set to arrive in 2023 and rumors of Scorpion joining the MCU, it’s not far-fetched to wonder if these brief cameos are hinting at future roles in the next Spider-Man trilogy. And with Holland’s Spider-Man now going about his heroic feats in total isolation, trouble is sure to manifest in the web-slinger’s fight for justice sooner rather than later.

To see all of these cameos, Spider-Man: No Way Home is now available on Digital.
