DC Comics gives readers two fan-favorite team-ups next week.
Hitting shelves on Tuesday is Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #1, the start of a brand new title shared by the Man of Steel and Caped Crusader. Not only will the title feature an all-star duo on its pages, but behind the book as well, being that writer Mark Waid and artist Dan Mora are uniting to bring the series to life. For its beginning, World’s Finest promises Batman and Superman joining forces with the Doom Patrol, the same comic book team seen in the HBO Max series. Of course, there are more issues landing on store shelves and digitally next week.
While classic DC heroes are teaming up next week, so are some beloved protégés. Dick Grayson/Nightwing and Wally West/The Flash will have a two-part crossover kick off in Nightwing #90, arriving shortly after Grayson’s crossover team-up with Jon Kent/Superman. Prior to this Tuesday’s issue, in the last year, Dick and Wally have only shared panels together in Nightwing #88 and Teen Titans Academy. The upcoming story will be penned by writer Tom Taylor and feature art by Geraldo Borges and Bruno Redondo.
Speaking of Wally West, in addition to World’s Finest and Nightwing, The Flash joins the War for Earth-3 crossover next week, with other heroic team-ups — like Blue Beetle’s appearance in Blue & Gold #7 — in store as well.
