WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Legacies Season 4, Episode 11, “Follow the Sound of My Voice,” which aired Thursday, March 3 on The CW.
In Legacies Season 4, Episode 10, gods entered the supernatural teen world of the Salvatore School. In Legacies‘ latest episode, one of these Hercules-like beings, Ben, decides to join the ranks of the Super Squad with none other than werewolf Jed as his personal guide.
As Cleo tries to fill in a super not-in-the-know Finch about how Ben was and now isn’t a monster-magnet due to a god-curse, the interim headmaster of the Salvatore School announces the news that a replacement named Eve is on her way to lead the school. Mere seconds later, however, he seems to be under the harmful influence of truth weed, which leads him to speak some blunt truths about the school and frighten the student body. Not too soon after it’s revealed the entire school has ingested the truth-weed and has a lot to share.
Anyone who guessed The Vampire Diaries‘ Aurora would be Eve — congrats! As mayhem unleashes at the Salvatore School, Hope and Lizzie attend a carnival, so Hope can test out Lizzie’s control of her new Heretic powers. However, Lizzie soon syncs up mentally with a young child who is crying because some malicious force took her sister. Hope suspects that Lizzie is only moved by this hero-adventure because she feels detached from Josie, and tells Lizzie as much.
Lizzie investigates anyhow and the duo gets caught up in a surprise vampire hunting ground scheme. One of the self-proclaimed creatures by the night confronts Hope, which she easily destroys and leads her to save a captured Lizzie so the two can destroy “condescending vampires.” And destroy them they do, hinting that maybe this Lizzie-Hope team-up might bring some positive change to the world — or at least destroy evil vamps.
Back at the Salvatore School, Jed feels uncomfortable about being around Ben and tells him as much under the truth-weed, with zero grace. Cleo confronts Aurora and is quickly knocked out by the vengeful vampire. Aurora then enters the inner sanctum of Cleo and finds her inspiration, which she immediately destroys to gain muse-like powers for herself. Finch finds Jed, who is clearly hiding for Ethan, and confronts him about why he’s not being by the friend he promised to support.
While Jed reconciles with what he feels or doesn’t feel towards Ben, Aurora tries to capture Ben. However, the demi-god is hard to vanquish and just stalls Aurora. Finch and Jed find Ben stabbed through the heart — which he’ll recover soon from — and that finally allows Jed to tell Finch that he thinks he likes-likes Ben, and Finch sweetly tells Jed that she’s here for him to sort out all his new-found feelings on romantically liking a guy.
On the outskirts of all this trouble, MG and Kaleb investigate Ethan’s homestead. Apparently, Ethan’s mom and sister think there’s a spirit invading their home. MG uses a transformation ring of sorts to appear to be Alaric so that he and Kaleb can enter Ethan’s home and hopefully solve the issue — without outing Ethan as a superpowered individual. Ethan’s sister suspects something is awry and tries to confront MG and Kaleb, but Kaleb compels her to fall asleep so that he, MG, and Ethan can discuss exactly what’s going on here. MG councils Ethan through his recent monster transformation, which leads him to come clean to his family. MG and Kaleb head back towards the Salvatore School to see what new trouble awaits them both.
