Because of this incident, Eugeo was forced to watch one of his closest friends get punished. This disciplinary action ended up defining the rest of Eugeo’s life. It was Eugeo’s attempt to reach Alice that ultimately led to his demise.
9 Alice Was Eugeo’s Closest AI Friend
In the first episode, Eugeo was shown to be working on a job with Kirito, who appeared to be one of his closest friends. Unlike Eugeo, Kirito was not an artificial intelligence. As a result, Alice, who came to meet the boys, was Eugeo’s closest friend that was an AI.
When Kirito returned to the program after getting hurt, Eugeo even forgot who Kirito was. But he did remember who Alice was and what she was punished for accidentally disobeying a rule.
8 Alice Was Part Of The Reason That He Started To Act Abnormal For An AI
After they decided that they were going to locate Alice, both Eugeo and Kirito set off on their adventure. This led them to try to become knights. In the end, both Kirito and Eugeo began to break the rules that most artificial intelligence refused to break. Even though Alice was separated from Eugeo when they were children, she had still taken care of him. As Eugeo and Kirito grew in their swordsmanship, Eugeo struggled with the unique ice power of his sword. Unlike Kirito’s abilities, Eugeo wasn’t as powerful of a swordsman, so he had a problem with using the weapon’s ice powers.
According to Kirito, Eugeo needed a drive that empowered his sword. Soon Eugeo realized that Alice should be his drive. After all, he was using a sword because he was trying to save her. His drive to reach Alice became the foundation of his growing swordsmanship.
5 Alice Went On An Expedition With Eugeo
While her friends worked on felling a single huge tree, Alice used to make meals for Eugeo and Kirito, and her meals were so well made that the boys decided to go with her to find ice. This ice was supposed to help them enjoy their meals more slowly. So they went on what Kirito called “a quest.” This expedition led them to go to a cave filled with ice to preserve their food.
4 Eugeo Couldn’t Stop Alice From Breaking The Rules
While Alice, Kirito, and Eugeo were in a cave, they wandered in sight of a different entrance. It was there that the three children saw two warriors in the sky, battling. When one of them lost and fell, Alice moved forward and tripped towards the line that was illegal to cross. Eugeo saw her fall and tried to help her, but he was unable to do so. Like Kirito and the death of his first guild, Eugeo couldn’t save Alice by keeping her from disobeying the rules.
3 Their Relationship Made Eugeo Vengeful
After Alice was punished for falling over the boundary, Eugeo became upset at the knight to dole out punishment. Like Kirito, Eugeo wasn’t perfect. So when Eugeo met the knight while looking for her, he became angry at the knight and was filled with a desire to kill the man. This anger showed how much he missed and cared about Alice. Eugeo would have become a more vengeful fighter if Kirito hadn’t stopped him.
2 Eugeo Recognized Alice Right Away Despite Circumstances
After Alice had been gone for a large part of their shared childhood, she had become an impressive knight. In other words, she had spent years away from her home and transformed greatly.
Even though Alice was older, Eugeo recognized her. Alice was several feet away, sitting under a tree, and she hadn’t given her name to Eugeo and Kirito, but Eugeo knew that it was her, and he went with Kirito to help Alice reclaim her once lost memories.
1 Alice Insulted Eugeo’s Swordsmanship
Since she was brainwashed, Alice didn’t recognize her childhood friends. She prepared to attack Kirito and Eugeo without knowing that they were there to help her. But the boys were prepared for this fight. As he planned, Kirito distracted her, then Eugeo used His Blue Rose Sword to freeze Alice. Once frozen, Eugeo could help her remember her memories by striking her with a special weapon. But Alice broke free. Once she was unfrozen, she insulted Eugeo’s swordsmanship.
