As Percy and Vax fight Professor Anders, and as Keyleth tries to keep Cassandra de Rolo alive, Grog and Vex are left to fight through the guards stationed in the main entrance of the mansion. The barbarian Grog initially barges into the trap and takes several arrows, but he manages to obliterate everyone in his way.

Vex unleashes covering fire, with her arrows being as accurate as always, and the duo quickly makes light work of the guards. They make their way through to offer their support to the rest of the team against Anders.

The attack on Vox Machina’s Keep, launched by Lady Briarwood, had the intention of retrieving her important book that Vax took when he was in the Briarwoods’ room. When that failed, she didn’t stop sending creatures after the group.

On their way to Whitestone to confront the Briarwoods, Vox Machina are chased by hound-like creatures that take Scanlan hostage. Percy and Orthax

With Sylas Briarwood gone, Orthax shows himself as Percy’s shadow demon, who has been using Percy’s thirst for vengeance to get access to souls. Orthax attempts to create chaos and kill Delilah Briarwood as was promised to him by Percy. The rest of Vox Machina do their utmost to stop him without causing damage to Percy himself.

Percy is trapped inside his mind, believing himself to be shooting at the Briarwoods. Instead, he’s shooting at his friends. When Scanlan throws his weapon into a pool of acid, the curse appears to be lifted. Meanwhile, Delilah gives a speech about how her vengeance will be next and Cassandra quickly ends her life.

7 Stonefell Was The First Major Hurdle For Percy & The Resistance To Overcome

Stonefell Legend of Vox Machina

As the title would suggest, Spark Of Rebellion sees Vox Machina search for answers and survivors who could help them in their impending fight against the Briarwoods. They learn of the resistance leader Archie, Percy’s best friend, and how he is being held prisoner. The group plan an extraction mission to rescue Archie.

After retrieving Percy and several other resistance members, they are met by Captain Stonefell, one of the names on Percy’s kill list who has a disturbing disposition and bloodlust. The ensuing battle is messy due to the close-quarters combat. Despite several casualties, they are able to escape with Archie in tow, and Stonefell is killed by Percy.

This hatred led to him betraying the family. A Silver Tongue sees Anders face off against Vox Machina, having cut Cassandra’s throat and left her for dead. Anders reveals his power of manipulation through his creepy tongue. He’s able to command suits of armor and control every present member of Vox Machina in an attempt to subdue and eliminate Percy. The Briarwoods also discover Vax going through their belongings. Vax is attacked by Sylas Briarwood and ends up in the palace courtyard, where his friends manage to catch up with him.

Despite the numerical advantage, the Briarwoods are too much for Vox Machina. Grog feeds Sylas’ blade with his blood, and Delilah seemingly removes Pike’s ability to call on the power of the Everlight. The fight sequences are dramatic, but it ultimately feels like a losing battle. The group doesn’t yet know or fully understand who the Briarwoods are and why Percy is so terrified of them.

The introduction of the undead into Lady Briarwood’s employ is hinted at in season one, especially when zombies wreak havoc in The Tide Of Bone. The sheer number of the undead forces the heroes to retreat. The arrival of giants and the angry Duke Vedmire makes matters even grimmer.

Vax and Grog also get to kill some giants in hilarious ways, furthering their Gimli and Legolas-like rivalry.

The seventh episode of season 1, Scanbo, sees Scanlan infiltrate Duke Vedmire’s mansion so he can create a diversion and assist his teammates. Initially terrified by what he’s signed up for, Scanlan quickly becomes a one-man army. Stealth is almost immediately thrown out of the window as he bumps into Vedmire.

The gnome bard runs through the mansion, drinking random potions that give him brief flurries of teleportation, fire breathing, and allow him to momentarily become a rampaging triceratops. Scanlan takes a beating from Vedmire but is able to deal plenty of damage to the Duke, his men, and his mansion. Scanlan makes a stylish exit from the roof as the mansion is ablaze.
