6 Romulus Was The Author Of Much Of Wolverine’s Woe Over The Years

Romulus has been around for centuries, pulling the string of various feral mutants including Wolverine. Wolverine worked with Romulus before the Weapon X program but all the while the villain was making plans to deal with him just in case, holding back his son Akihiro as a weapon to use against Logan. Eventually, Romulus would make himself known to an amnesiac Wolverine again and their rivalry would heat up.

5 Lady Deathstrike And Wolverine’s Rivalry Has Always Been Personal

Lady Deathstrike Yuriko

Lady Deathstrike has long been one of Wolverine’s most formidable villains. Her father created the adamantium bonding process that Weapon X stole and she blamed Wolverine for the whole thing. She’d get cybernetic enhancements in order to battle Logan and joined the Reavers, as well as going after him on her own.

Her combination of cybernetic enhancements and ninja skills make her a deadly foe and she’s almost ended Wolverine several times. While their grudge has cooled off in recent years, that doesn’t change how many times she’s almost ended him.

2 Magneto Has Almost Killed Wolverine More Than Once

X-Men Trial of Magneto
