The Boys: Diabolical Pics Introduce a Cute, Sentient Piece of Poop

Amazon Prime Video has released stills from upcoming animated series The Boys Presents: Diabolical, and one of them seems to show a piece of sentient poop.

The images, which you can see below, show off various characters from The Boys Presents: Diabolical, including Antony Starr’s Homelander, and come from several episodes of the series. However, the first image in the set shows a character holding a piece of what appears to be poop that’s wearing a pink ribbon and has big, cute eyes. At this time, it’s not confirmed if this is actually a sentient piece of poop, but it certainly looks like one.

The release of these images comes just after Prime Video dropped the first trailer for The Boys Presents: Diabolical earlier this week. The series, which was announced in December, is an eight-episode anthology series that tells stories set in the world of The Boys. When The Boys Presents: Diabolical was announced, producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg described the series as, essentially, a riff on The Animatrix, an animated series of short films set in The Matrix Universe.

Based on Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s comic book series of the same name, which ran from 2006 until 2012, The Boys debuted in 2019. The series takes place in a universe where a company called Vought International has given people superpowers using a drug called Compound V and proceeded to market them to the world. The Boys follows Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), Hughie Campbell (Jack Quaid) and the rest of the titular team as they fight against Vought International.

Both seasons of The Boys have met with critical acclaim and strong viewership. Due to that positive reception, The Boys was greenlit for a third and fourth season. However, production on The Boys Season 3 was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Still, in January, The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke announced the series would return on June 3.

The Boys Presents: Diabolical premieres March 4 on Prime Video. In addition to Rogen and Goldberg, Awakwafina, Eliot Glazer, Illana Glazer, Simon Racioppa, Justin Roiland, Ben Bayouth, Andy Samberg, Aisha Tyler and Garth Ennis will also have writing credits. The show will also feature voice actors from the live-action series as well as a number of newcomers to the series.
