My Hero Academia characters have a wide assortment of quirk. Many of the quirks, regardless of their power on the battlefield, can be incredibly useful. U.A. strives to teach its students to think outside of the box and to figure out new ways to utilize their quirks.
They emphasize that quirks can be used not only for battle and high pressure situations, but to bring joy to ordinary citizens. Both professional heroes and students have shown that their quirks are more than meets the eye, impressing fans with their ability to do things that they never imagined.
10 Star And Stripe Made Her Quirk Revolt Against Other Quirks
Star And Stripe was greatest hero in the United States. Her quirk was so powerful that All For One and Tomura desperately wanted it. Unfortunately, they got their wish, simultaneously using his decay quirk while robbing her of her quirk. Having foreseen this possibility, Star And Stripe used her quirk to impose a final rule. Her quirk, New Order, would rebel against all other quirks. While New Order was still inside of Tomura Shigaraki, it not only destroyed his other stolen quirks, but nearly destroyed him. In the end, this internal battle destroyed New Order, making it impossible for Tomura and All For One to utilize it.
9 Hotoshi Shinso Used A Voice Changer To Make His Quirk More Effective
Shinso has a quirk that can brainwash anyone who responds to anything he says. This renders them incapable of refusing his orders. Considering that every student in U.A. knew about the specific requirements surrounding his quirk, he obtained a voice changer.
With this, he could trick people into responding to him by impersonating their allies. This made the rivaling team during his battle against Class 1-B hesitant to speak to each other, effectively cutting off their communication after he took control of their strongest members.
8 Deku, Tsuyu Asui, And Minoru Mineta Trapped Villains In The Water
When Class 1-A was first attacked by the League of Villains, the students found themselves separated into small groups and were forced to defend themselves. Deku, Asui, and Mineta were able to effectively work together to defeat the villains attacking them. Mineta threw the sticky balls on his head into the water, and Deku used his quirk to manipulate the water making the villains stick together helplessly. Asui pulled Deku back to safety so that he wouldn’t get stuck in the water as well. It was a simple, but extremely effective plan.
7 Ochaco Uraraka Sent Debris In The Air During Her Battle Against Katsuki Bakugo
Despite being nervous, Uraraka refused Deku’s help before her battle against Bakugo at the Sports Festival. She wanted to win on her own merit. Although she did not win the battle, she proved herself to be quite cunning and stubborn. During their fight, she sent debris up into the air, planning to make it all drop on Bakugo at once.
He never underestimated her since he figured she’d have a trick up her sleeve solely because she was Deku’s friend, and was able to catch on before it was too late. If not for his extreme dislike of Deku, Uraraka would have had a much better chance of winning with such a great tactic.
6 Lemillion Made His Seemingly Useless Quirk Into Something Powerful
On the surface, Lemillion’s quirk seems to have more negatives than positives. Going through walls makes him lose his clothes, and he loses all of his senses before he is forced out. This sensation would be terrifying for most people. However, he trained himself and his quirk, making it so powerful that Class 1-A students thought that he was blessed with the best quirk they had ever seen. He took advantage of the momentum he gained while traveling through various surfaces, and wasn’t at all distracted or ashamed of his quirk’s drawbacks during his battle with Class 1-A.
5 Tamaki Amajiki Can Eat The Quirks Of His Enemies And Use Them
Tamaki Amajiki, or Suneater, is able to take on the attributes of whatever he eats. This allows him to transform parts of his body to resemble the things he’s consumed, and even give himself the flexibility or muscle mass of these animals. He isn’t limited to a single plant or animal at a time, and has been seen utilizing the abilities of multiple creatures at once. He is also able to consume his enemy’s quirk as long as they manifest in a physical form. He ate the crystals that a yakuza member created with his quirk, and used them to strengthen his own body.
4 Momo Yaoyorozu Hid Flash Bangs In Matryoshkas
Momo has an extremely flexible quirk. As long as she knows the composition, she can create any non-living object. Her quirk came in particularly handy when she and Shoto were fighting Eraser Head. She had been creating matryoshkas in order to determine how far away Eraser Head was. They were particularly efficient because not only could she create them without thinking about it, but they were also filled with flash bangs. These were essential in damaging their teacher’s vision, making it easier for them to capture him at the end.
3 Shoto Todoroki Made A Giant Ice Slide Using Some Children’s Quirks
Shoto and some other students had to take remedial classes in order to obtain their pro hero licenses. One requirement was to make a connection to some young and rowdy children who had no respect for heroes or adults. After a few failed attempts to connect, the students finally came to the conclusion that they needed to show the children that their quirks had the potential to be something amazing and valuable. Shoto made them an ice slide using their quirks as a skeleton, and Inasa Yoarashi lifted the children onto the slide.
2 Class 1-A Used Their Quirks To Make An Entertaining Concert
At U.A.’s school festival, Class 1-A decided to put on a concert. They impressed the audience with great music and choreographed dancing, but they also used their quirks to their advantage. Yuga Aoyama used his lasers to put on a light show, Momo used her creation quirk to fire off streamers, Toru Hagakure made herself glow, and Shoto used his ice quirk for added visual effect. In the meantime, Asui used her tongue to move Uraraka over the masses to give them high fives and allow them to float in the air. The combination of their efforts made their show extremely memorable and enjoyable even to the people who had shown up for the sole purpose of criticizing them.
1 Bakugo Can Make Smaller Explosives From His Quirk And Give Them To Others
Bakugo was an effective leader during Class 1-A’s competitive battles against Class 1-B. Under his leadership, his group worked together seamlessly, defeating Class 1-B’s group with ease. He not only was able to inspire confidence in them, but he used his quirk to create a few hand-held explosives for his classmates to carry in case they needed them. They were essential in distracting the enemy group’s leader after the explosives were attached to floating pieces of her body, allowing Bakugo to go in and deliver the final blow.
