Some of the more impressive and popular anime are the classic Dragon Ball series (and its many subsequent series) and the relatively new kid on the block, My Hero Academia. In MHA, most people are gifted with abilities called Quirks that allow them to do something more significant than the average person.
Goku, the main character from the Dragon Ball universe, has multiple powers that could be classified as Quirks in the MHA universe making him similar to All For One or One For All. A few of Goku’s abilities would likely be lumped together as they are very similar, but he would still have a vast array of Quirks and would make an incredible Pro Hero.
8 Hair – Mutation Type Quirk, Goku’s Pureblood Saiyan Hair Never Changes From The Day He Is Born
Goku’s hair would technically be considered a mutation type Quirk in MHA as it is technically a physical deformation he’s had since birth. While Gohan has had a few haircuts over the years, Goku has maintained the same hairstyle since day one. Even after years in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, only his beard grew, and his hair remained the same.
While this Quirk wouldn’t really serve any function in the grand scheme of things, it would still likely be considered a Quirk in MHA. There are other hair-related Quirks in the MHA universe such as Mineta’s Pop Off, though that is admittedly a much more useful Quirk than hair that never grows or changes shape.
7 Telepathy – Emitting Type Quirk, Goku’s Extremely Rare Ability To Communicate With Others’ Minds
On just a handful of occasions, Goku has been able to telepathically communicate with his fellow Z-Fighters—without King Kai’s assistance. His telepathy seems to have fallen by the wayside in Dragon Ball Super, but it is still technically a part of Goku’s repertoire of techniques.
Goku is normally a solo fighter, as is the Saiyan way, but in a team setting such as the Tournament of Power or the Kamino Incident, his telepathy could have come in handy. It wouldn’t provide any additional power but would be an invaluable support Quirk with tons of strategic upside.
6 Flight – Emitting Type Quirk, Goku’s Ability To Fly & Perform Aerial Maneuvers
While the ability to fly in the Dragon Ball universe is a fairly mundane ability—so much so that even standard humans can learn it—it is far more unique in MHA’s world. While All Might’s predecessor’s Quirk, Float, was similar to flight, Nana Shimura wasn’t quite as agile with it as Goku can be.
In addition to traveling at immense speeds, Goku can also stop on a dime and change directions more impressively than the most advanced military jets. Flight is useful in evasion tactics and also provides additional force behind tackles and punches when utilized properly.
5 Instant Transmission – Emitting Type Quirk, Goku’s Ability To Teleport Vast Distances Instantly
Goku (and later Vegeta) learned the mysterious technique of Instant Transmission from the Planet Yardrat’s inhabitants. Instant Transmission allows Goku to teleport himself to almost anywhere in the universe so long as he can lock onto someone’s energy signature.
While the MHA universe seems to be sequestered to Earth, this just means that Instant Transmission would be significantly more effective since he wouldn’t need to travel between planets. Instant Transmission would certainly throw villains for a loop whether Goku used it to confuse them or simply teleport them to a new location where they couldn’t cause any damage or casualties.
4 Energy Manipulation – Emitting Type Quirk, Goku’s Ability To Use Energy In Various Ways
Goku’s ability to manipulate energy is wildly impressive and can be applied in multiple ways during battle. For instance, Goku can transfer some of his own energy into an ally to give them a boost. He can also nullify some energy effects as he did in his fight with Lord Beerus before the shockwaves from their colliding fists could destroy the known universe.
If Goku were able to find an equal in the MHA universe, he could potentially fuse with them, temporarily combining their energies into one significantly more powerful fighter. Last but not least, Goku is able to channel massive amounts of energy to create impressive blasts and attacks such as the Kamehameha Wave or Spirit Bomb.
3 Healing/Regeneration – Emitting Type Quirk, Goku’s Ability To Channel Godly Ki To Heal Wounds
One could argue that because Goku uses energy to heal wounds that it should be included in the Energy Manipulation Quirk. However, this ability appears to only be accessible when Goku is in his Super Saiyan God forms as he channels the godly ki to expedite the healing process.
While his healing factor doesn’t automatically kick in like Wolverine’s or Deadpool’s, he is able to come back from near-fatal blows by redirecting his godly ki to the afflicted area. Goku can apparently do this while on the brink of unconsciousness indicated by the fact that he was able to heal the large hole Beerus left in his torso during their fight on Earth, even after falling out of the sky and into the ocean.
2 Power Stacking – Transformation Type Quirk, Goku’s Super Saiyan Transformations & Others
Goku has learned several significantly impressive transformation techniques which both exponentially raise his amazing strength and drastically increase his already impressive speed. However, before transforming, Goku still exhibits a level of strength, speed, durability, endurance, energy/heat resistance, and even lung capacity far beyond that of a normal human, showcased by his many, many fights over the years.
The Super Saiyan transformation multiplies all of Goku’s base statistics by a factor of fifty. In addition to the legendary Super Saiyan transformation, Goku has also discovered the Kaio Ken technique (courtesy of King Kai) as well as Super Saiyan 2, Super Saiyan 3, Super Saiyan God, and Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan… or Super Saiyan Blue for short. Each of these additional transformations amplifies Goku’s natural abilities hundreds of times over, dwarfing what One For All can do for All Might or Midoriya.
1 Combat Awareness – Emitting/Transformation Type Quirk, Goku’s Impeccable Saiyan Battle Sense & Mastered Ultra Instinct Form
Goku, like all Saiyans, is a natural fighter and as such, he has an incredible battle sense about him. This sixth sense includes the ability to mimic many techniques after only seeing them one time. He also has razor-sharp reflexes and a brilliant strategic mind… at least when it comes to fighting. Goku is also able to sense an enemy’s power level by focusing on their energy (and can tell when they are suppressing their energy level) which would come in handy for assessing a threat.
In addition to all of this, Goku has learned a powerful fighting form called Ultra Instinct, which was previously reserved for deities and angels. When Goku activates Ultra Instinct, his body instinctually moves entirely on its own, shattering his combat awareness ceiling. Even when fighting Jiren, presumably the strongest mortal in the Dragon Ball multiverse, Goku is able to evade nearly all of his attacks and land significant blows with graceful, effortless movements. Ultra Instinct may very well be Goku’s most impressive feat, and combined with all of his other Quirk-like abilities, Goku could defeat any foes he faced within the MHA universe (including All For One) with ease.
