The Boys’ Homelander Scores the Series’ First High-End, Super-Detailed Action Figure

Homelander, the psychotic supe of The Boys who masquerades as a patriotic hero beloved by the world, is getting an action figure of a quality to suit his own high opinion of himself.

The approximately 160mm-high Homelander figma is available for pre-order now, as announced by manufacturer Good Smile Company. This is the first detailed and articulated action figure of any character from Prime Video’s dark superhero series The Boys. The Homelander figma is introduced on the website through one of his iconic lines that references both his extreme power and his narcissistic personality: “I’m Homelander. And I can do whatever the f**k I want.”

Made of sculpted and painted plastic, the Homelander figure comes with three interchangeable face plates, two eye beam attachments to show the supe’s laser eye power, an articulated figma stand and a fabric striped cape. The face plates show three different extremes of the character’s moods: one is the smiling face he presents to crowds and cameras, one is deadly serious, and one is spattered with blood much like it was in The Boys‘ Season 2 finale.

A series of photos show the way that different combinations of the face plates, eye beams and poses — self-supported or using the stand to take him off the ground — let fans recreate an endless variety of scenes starring Homelander in all his glory.

In The Boys, the superhero genre is subverted by imagining people with superpowers as corrupt celebrities. Homelander is ostensibly the leader of The Seven, the world’s greatest hero team, backed by propaganda from Vought International to make him appear courageous and noble while covering up his many crimes and disdain for humanity. Unfortunately, his super strength, invincibility, flight, x-ray vision and laser eyes are all too real.

Meanwhile, vengeance-driven Billy Butcher and his underground team, the titular Boys, work to expose Vought International and The Seven and to bring Homelander to justice. Without any superpowers of their own, the Boys are unable to attack the supes directly, but over the past two seasons, Homelander’s potential weaknesses have come to light.

The Homelander figma is available to pre-order now, with a price tag of 11,000 yen (approximately 95.50 USD). Seasons 1 and 2 of The Boys are streaming now on Prime Video, with the show’s Season 3 premiere set for June 3.
