Pokémon Fan Perfectly Creates Three Iconic Pocket Monsters in LEGO

Pokémon fan paid homage to the final evolutions of the three iconic Kanto starter Pokémon by replicating them with LEGO.

The Poké-fan shared their rendering of the LEGO versions of the ever-popular Charizard, Blastoise and Venusaur that they made using a free design program called Stud.io. They clarified that the Blastoise and Venusaur models were works in progress and may need to be tweaked when they actually build them.  Charizard’s LEGO form, however, has already been assembled, with instructions on how to do so and a complete list of pieces used uploaded to the Brickmill Studios YouTube channel.

The fan shared that creating their LEGO models involved a lot of trial and error due to the odd colors that Pokémon often come in. They rely on resources such as the LEGO marketplace BrickLink, as well as their own knowledge and experience to find pieces that properly encapsulate the look and feel of the Pokémon they’re emulating. The price of the pieces is also a factor they consider so others can build the Pokémon in a cost-effective way. The builder has also posted tutorials on how to craft LEGO versions of other popular Pokémon, such as Mewtwo and Garchomp, as well as anime characters such as Naruto‘s Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha.

Being one of the highest-grossing media franchises of all time, it’s unsurprising that Pokémon continues to receive love from fans, even 26 years after its debut. The world of Pokémon centers around so-called “pocket monsters” that trainers can capture to battle other trainers and gym leaders so they can eventually battle the Elite Four and become Pokémon Champion. While it started as a series of video games, Pokémon has also received several successful anime adaptations and a trading card game that continues to be played today.
