JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is a long-running shonen action series that, starting with the Stardust Crusaders story arc, used Stands as its combat system. A Stand can be thought of as the physical manifestation of a person’s fighting spirit or personality, and most Stands are deadly in combat. They also have a wide variety of abilities and traits.
The Golden Wind story arc, set in early-2000s Italy, features many more exciting Stands, including Stands belonging to both the heroes and villains alike. Those Stands can be ranked any number of ways, from firepower to size and certainly their speed in battle.
10 Beach Boy Hooks Its Enemies From Afar
An assassin named Pesci uses the Stand named Beach Boy, which takes the form of a fishing rod, complete with a line and a nasty hook. Beach Boy, as its appearance suggests, can reach out and grab an enemy from far away with that hook, and drag them around or even attack their heart.
Beach Boy isn’t lightning-fast, but it can still move that hook quickly across the battlefield, and even Bruno Bucciarati had a tough time escaping Beach Boy’s hook during the battle aboard a moving train.
9 Little Feet Redeems Itself With Speed
The Stand known as Little Feet is fairly weak, and most members of La Squadra make fun of it for its limited combat capabilities. Still, it’s a useful Stand in the correct situation, and it does have above-average speed, which helps its user, Formaggio, even the odds against his foes.
Little Feet can quickly strike and affect its enemy with its unique power, the ability to continuously shrink its foe over time. The hotheaded Narancia Ghirga learned this the hard way, and he soon became small enough so a mere spider was like a beast to him.
8 Aerosmith Is An Airplane Stand
Narancia Ghirga’s own Stand, called Aerosmith, is a ranged Stand that is shaped like a fighter plane. It can swoop across the battlefield at impressive speeds, and that, combined with its small size, makes it a difficult target for most enemies to hit.
Aerosmith can pelter Narancia’s enemies with machine-gun fire, and it can also drop a single bomb to finish them off. In addition, Aerosmith can track down its enemies by sensing their exhalation from afar.
7 Sticky Fingers Throws A Mean Punch
Bruno Bucciarati is a hero with a creative Stand that often rewards his creative thinking during battle. His humanoid Stand is called Sticky Fingers, and it can throw rapid punches during battle, Joestar style. It’s not quite on Star Platinum’s level, but it comes close at times.
On top of that, Sticky Fingers can create zippers on surfaces and move through the portal inside, boosting its mobility further. This allows it to strike from unexpected angles or go avoid enemy fire.
6 Gold Experience Is Another Quick Humanoid Stand
Giorno Giovanna is the hero of Golden Wind, and while his Stand is one of the most flexible and intriguing of all, it’s not exactly the fastest. In fact, it’s slower and weaker than both Jotaro’s Star Platinum and Josuke’s Crazy Diamond, but it’s still faster than most Stands, and it’s a monster up close.
Gold Experience can pummel its enemies with rapid punches, and it delivered the beating of a lifetime to the cruel villain Cioccolata. Gold Experience can also boost its mobility a bit when it creates vines or trees to hang onto.
5 Black Sabbath Moves Quickly In Shadows
One of the earliest Stands to appear in the Golden Wind story arc is the fearsome Black Sabbath, a large humanoid Stand that is all about shadows. Its user, the crime boss Polpo, can control it from afar, making Black Sabbath an even trickier foe for most enemies to fight.
Black Sabbath can’t stand sunlight, but it can move with remarkable speed within the confines of shadows, and it could even outmaneuver Giorno during an evening battle. Giorno only won when he removed a tree and exposed Black Sabbath to the sun’s rays.
4 Silver Chariot Made A Guest Appearance
Silver Chariot was one of the main Stands of the Stardust Crusaders story arc, and it returned for a cameo in Golden Wind, near the end of the story arc. Its wielder, Jean Pierre Polnareff, was an even more experienced Stand user by now, and he also understood the Stand arrow better than ever.
Silver Chariot had only a limited role in the story, but all the same, it ranks among the quickest Stands to appear in the Golden Wind arc, since speed is its best weapon, aside from its trademark rapier. It can even shed its armor to move fast enough to create afterimages.
3 Sex Pistols Can Control Bullets
Guido Mista is a gunslinger Stand user, and his Stand is actually made up of six creatures, named 1-7, with 4 missing due to it being an unlucky number. This Stand, Sex Pistols, can guide bullets in midair and allow Mista to hit targets around corners or even in a different room.
Sex Pistols, as a result, moves as quickly as a speeding bullet, which is saying a lot. Very few Stand users can defend against this kind of firepower unless they are already prepared, though the Stand user Hol Horse could match Mista shot for shot.
2 Clash Can Teleport Through Water
Clash, like Black Sabbath, is only usable in certain environments, but if it can find some water, then it’s difficult to resist this Stand in battle. Clash has a shark-like appearance and can shrink or expand its body to fit any volume of water, from a Venice canal to a glass of wine or even someone’s tears.
Clash can teleport between bodies of water with remarkable speed, and it’s untouchable during that teleport. This allows Clash’s user to take its enemies by surprise and stay one step ahead of them, though Clash still has its limits. For example, it cannot teleport into a totally sealed-off body of water, such as the interior of a water tank.
1 King Crimson Is Fast With Or Without Its Ability
King Crimson is one of the most powerful Stands in the entire JoJo’s franchise, and it belongs to Diavolo, the cruel crime boss who is hunting down his only daughter, Trish Una. King Crimson, as noted by Polnareff, is incredibly powerful and fast in melee combat, even when its time-cutting ability is not being used.
If King Crimson does cut out a piece of time to outmaneuver its foe, its attacks are effectively instantaneous, and this makes it faster than any other Golden Wind Stand, even Sex Pistols or Clash. No one can defend against such an attack.
