Metroid Dread: How to Find and Collect Every Item In Elun | CBR

Elun is the smallest region Samus visits in Metroid Dread. This area is notable for not having an E.M.M.I. that she must destroy, although she does fight a Chozo Soldier. Upgrade hunters only have four items to find in Elun, and Samus will need the Power Bomb ability in order to complete this region. Those who find all of the collectibles in Elun will unlock the sixth Chozo Archives image in the Extras Gallery.

This guide will walk players through each of the collectibles and how to acquire them. These upgrades can easily be gathered by working clockwise through the region. Elun contains one Energy Tank, two Missile Tanks and one Power Bomb Tank. One of the collectibles requires the Speed Booster, although the platforming in Elun is nowhere near as demanding as that from collecting upgrades in Ferenia.

How To Find All Collectibles In Elun

Metroid Dread Elun Energy Tank map location.

The Energy Tank is blissfully simple to acquire, considering it is one of the most desirable collectibles in Metroid. The tank is located in the first room after crossing over the bridge and passing through the main hall. Destroy the Beam Blocks at the top left of the room so that Samus can Space Jump to the ledge. Using the Morph Ball, lay a Bomb and destroy the Bomb Block.

To the right of the ledge where the Energy Tank was, players will find another ledge that leads to a series of Morph Ball tunnels. Follow the winding path up and around, destroying Bomb Blocks in the way. Do not progress past the Beam Blocks. Instead, jump to the rightmost ledge past the Beam Blocks and lay a Power Bomb. The Power Bomb Blocks obstructing the tunnel stretching up and to the left will be destroyed. Space Jump all the way to the top and follow the opened way to the Missile Tank.

After collecting the Missile Tank, continue downward through the winding tunnels past the Beam Blocks and destroy any Bomb Blocks. Before destroying the Grapple Beam Block, jump to the top of the last Morph Ball tunnel in order to retrieve the Power Bomb Tank.

The final collectible in Elun is the second Missile Tank. This tank is obstructed by some Speed Booster Blocks at the bottom of the winding area where a fan is blowing. Activate the Speed Booster by running against the fan’s air flow, then immediately ready a Shinespark. Run and slide downward until Samus is below the Speed Booster Blocks where she can use the Shinespark.
