Secret are prevalent in anime. From having secret identities like Sailor Moon‘s Sailor Scouts to having secret powers like My Hero Academia‘s Deku. Although some characters try their best to keep their secret from getting out, it doesn’t always go that way.
Sometimes the person who figures these secrets out can either keep it to themselves or be a blabbermouth. For example, once Bakugo figured out Deku’s big secret instead of telling everyone, he decides to keep the secret to himself in order not to out Deku. However, not every anime character can be like Bakugo, and can’t help but tell everyone what the big secret is.
10 Every Single Member Is an open book (Chronicles Of Going Home Club)
In Episode 7 the members of the Going Home Club are discussing their secret plans to throw a birthday party for their member Natsuki. The only problem is that Natsuki is there in the room while they are all discussing these secret plans.
Despite their plans being a big secret birthday party, these girls couldn’t help themselves from planning everything in front of Natsuki, the birthday girl herself. She even tries to tell the others that it isn’t a secret party if she already knows about it and is expecting everything.
9 Astolfo Blurts Out Everything (Fate/Apocrypha)
In Fate/Apocrypha, Rider of Black/Astolfo can’t keep a secret to save her life. Astolfo is constantly blurting out very sensitive information, things such as the Servant’s True Names and Noble Phantasms.
This is something that is very problematic for The Black Faction. The Black Faction is a group of assassins who are on contracts, which is understandable why Astoflo’s big mouth can be quite annoying for the members of this organization.
8 Every Member Of The Gym Spills The Tea (Hajime No Ippo)
Every member of the Kamogawa gym is known to fail to keep any secrets to themselves. Every time Ippo tells one gym member about his romantic escapades with Kunmi, everyone at the gym the next day knows every single detail already.
The main tea spiller of the gym is Itagski, he likes to tell everyone about Ippo and Kunmi, but he also likes to tell the other gym members secrets as well. Despite promising the members he will keep his mouth shut, it never happens.
7 Kana Tells Everyone About The Secret Location (Minami-Ke)
In Season 4, Episode 13, Kana uses secrets to her advantage. After no one seems interested in watching the cherry blossoms falling, she decides it’s time to spread some secrets. After hearing various groups telling each other secrets, Kana goes up to these different groups and tells them about a top-secret location, in hopes of them spreading this information.
At first, it seems like her plan doesn’t work since she’s the only one at the location but slowly all the groups start showing up, this is a rare time that not keeping a secret actually worked in everyone’s favor.
6 Asahi & His Granddaughter Can’t Keep A Secret From Anyone (My Monster Secret)
In My Monster Secret part of the plot is that Asahi can’t lie or keep a secret. One day, after deciding to finally confess to his crush, Youko, he finds out she’s a vampire and will be forced to leave the school if her secret gets out. Thus, Asahi has to try his very best in order to make sure his crush gets to stay in school.
Additionally, in one episode, Asahi’s granddaughter from the future shows up, and the biggest tell she is his granddaughter is that she wasn’t supposed to tell anyone she’s from the future, yet told Asahi the moment she met him.
5 Haruna Cannot keep A Secret If It’s Entertaining (Negima! Magister Negi Magi)
Haruna Saotome is the type of character that won’t keep a secret if it is too juicy to keep all to herself. One day, Haruna threatened to torture her friends if they did not tell her about a secret they were keeping from her.
However, as soon as they told her, Haruna already started telling everybody, which is why they kept it from her in the first place. She also comes very close to telling Anya a big secret about Negi’s Pactio, which is in regards to his magical contract.
4 Miyuki Has A Tough Time Keeping Her Secret Identity A Secret (Smile Pretty Cure!)
Similar to Sailor Moon, Smile Pretty Cure! involves a group of magical girls with secret identities. Miyuki is the group’s leader despite being clumsy and having a big mouth. Miyuki, all throughout the series, has a tough time keeping secrets, especially in regards to her secret identity and the identity of the other members.
One day, after everyone who was under the Bad End spell snaps out of it, they easily recognize the cures, which makes it even harder for Miyuki to keep her mouth shut.
3 Megumi’s Secret Identity Gets Out (HappinessCharge Pretty Cure!)
HappinessCharge Pretty Cure! is the eleventh anime in the Pretty Cure! franchise. Just like Miyuki from Smile Pretty Cure! (ninth anime), Megumi is the leader of her group and can’t keep secrets either.
However, unlike Miyuki, it only takes three episodes before Megumi reveals her secret to her best friend Seiji. However, Seiji could already tell she was hiding something big from him, because of how bad she is at keeping secrets.
2 Ruby Is Another Character That Blurts Out Everything (Rave Master)
In Rave Master, Ruby is a Sentinoid creature that resembles a penguin, and one day he decides to join the Rave Warriors after they rescue him. However, instead of being a useful member of the group, Ruby is anything but.
This Sentinoid penguin likes to blurt out anything that he is thinking. Ruby has even blurted out the group’s battle plans right in the middle of the battle, rendering them helpless in the heat of things.
1 Clara Acts Like a Child That Can’t Keep A Secret (Welcome To Demon School! Iruma-Kun)
Valac Clara from Welcome To Demon School! is known to act like a very excited child despite her being a demon. Due to her childish bubbly personality, it’s not surprising at all that she can’t keep any secrets to herself.
Due to this, all her classmates find Clara to be quite annoying and can’t stand to be around her. Clara knows that her classmates feel this way, but that doesn’t stop her from acting like her usual childish self.
