Before she could be executed, she was rescued and adopted by a kind family. That didn’t last long before the word of her survival was spread. She was then forced to run for her life. Scrapped Princess seemed very reminiscent of medieval times despite being set in the far distant future.

Released in 2017, Girls Last Tour takes place in the far distant future of 3230. In this post-apocalyptic world, there are only two survivors, Chito and Yuuri. As the last survivors in the city, these girls spend most of their days looking for food and parts for their bikes. Although they occasionally struggle with the fact that they are all alone, it becomes bearable since they have each other. Girls Last Tour tells the story of two friends alone in the world with a positive spin on the post-apocalyptic setting.

BlueBlaze: Alter Memory was released in 2013 and was set in December of 2199. In this universe, Ranga the Bloodedge, a rebel who has the highest bounty for his head, has appeared in the city of Kagutsuchi. Rangas main goal is to destroy the system that is controlling the world. In order to collect the bounty, a variety of fighters met on Kagutsuchi in an attempt to defeat him. Although this anime is set in 2199, viewers can’t really tell since the character’s designs are more reminiscent of the medieval era.

Megazone 23’s future doesn’t seem too unrealistic with a computer program keeping an eye on society. After all, in the real world, people often wonder if the FBI is secretly watching them through their phones and computers.

Robot technology is constantly developing, so it’s possible that there will be cyborgs in the real world by the 29th century.
