The Batman’s Second Trailer Gets a Runtime | CBR

The full runtime for The Batman‘s second trailer has leaked ahead of its upcoming debut at this month’s DC FanDome digital event.

Twitter account DcKerala spotted the trailer’s length through a German ratings board, which claims The Batman‘s second trailer will run for a total of two minutes and 36 seconds. The runtime comes in at over 10 seconds longer than the length of the film’s first trailer, which was shown off during the inaugural DC FanDome in August of last year.

The trailer’s release at the virtual convention, which is scheduled to kick off on Oct. 16, was announced back in August. The first trailer for The Batman teased Robert Pattinson as a younger version of the iconic Dark Knight alongside Colin Farrell’s Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, Paul Dano’s Edward Nashton/The Riddler as well as Jeffery Wright as James Gordon and Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman. It seems Kravitz’s new version of Catwoman may be making a more substantial appearance in this latest trailer, as Pattinson recently said, “Me and Zoë did some stuff. It’s a fun little thing and there are lots of little surprises for it.” Pattinson also revealed he has seen finished parts of the film, calling it “really cool.”

A sequel to The Batman has reportedly already been given the green light by WB and DC Films, and two spinoffs are rumored to be in development. What these spinoffs will center on is unclear, but speculation suggests one could follow Zoë Kravitz’s Catwoman. What is clear is that Warner Bros. appears to have a high degree of confidence in the yet-to-be-released film, despite the production being troubled with delays due to COVID-19. The film was originally scheduled for release in June 2021.
