Which DreamWorks Character Are You Based On Your Zodiac Sign?

With 41 films under its belt, DreamWorks Animation has all but cemented itself as a major industry player of the last two decades. Many of its productions have garnered incredible praise from critics and viewers alike, not to mention earning dozens of distinguished awards, from the Oscars to the Emmys.

DreamWorks characters have become household names, in part due to their well-developed personalities and unforgettable narrative arcs. This makes them fascinating candidates to evaluate and classify according to their respective (and theoretical) astrological signs. The Zodiac may not be for everyone, but it’s a fun experiment, especially concerning fan-favorite characters from wildly popular films.

12 Aries — Master Tigress Is Tough, Self-Reliant, And Righteous

Kung Fu Panda‘s Master Tigress is a classic Aries – tough, self-reliant, and righteous. She’s one of the very few characters who doesn’t quail at the very mention of Tai Lung, not to mention unleashing her attacks with deadly precision.

Tigress occasionally misreads the room, but her kind personality helps save the day (and the mood) on quite a few occasions. She needs more time than others to warm up to strangers, which might make her appear more solemn than she really is.

11 Taurus — Colonel Cutter Exhibits A Level Of Patience Far Beyond His Comrades

Colonel Cutter is hardcoded to follow his genetic directive: to serve, protect, and sacrifice himself for the ant colony if required. As a Taurus, he exhibits a level of patience far beyond his comrades in Antz, explaining why he comes around to Z’s vision of how their society should be.

Cutter’s generosity is evident when he displays astonishment at his superior’s callous commands, sacrificing soldier ants for egotistical reasons.

10 Gemini — Tzipporah Maintains Faith In Herself Without Losing Confidence

Tzipporah is arguably the strongest character in The Prince of Egypt, whether in terms of common sense or emotional depth. She embodies the Gemini sign through and through, as seen when she transforms from a justifiably unfriendly character to a resolute partner for Moses.

Tzipporah acknowledges her weaknesses but maintains her eternal faith – in herself more than anybody else, giving her the confidence to protect the people she loves the most.

9 Cancer — Prince Charming Is Extraordinarily Pompous And Childish

Shrek‘s Prince Charming exemplifies several features of the Capricorn, even though most of them fall in the negative category. He’s extraordinarily pompous, gleefully throwing his opponents under the bus for his own gain.

That said, it’s evident that Charming’s actions are almost entirely directed by his mother, the Fairy Godmother. This obviously doesn’t mean that he is (or should be) absolved of his crimes, but it certainly provides context for his unbelievably childish and moody personality.

8 Leo — Tzekel-Kan Enjoys The Thrill Of Notoriety

Tzekel-Kan from The Road to El Dorado isn’t a subtle villain. In fact, his thirst for power is as blatant as it is staggering. He is a definitive Leo, considering how much he enjoys the thrill of notoriety, and he exerts a borderline hypnotic hold over his followers.

Tzekel-Kan exploits the citizens of El Dorado, ensuring that they fall for his so-called prophecies. This indirectly implies that his words are to be taken as gospel (regardless of evidence to the contrary).

7 Virgo — Gloria The Hippo Improves Her Friends’ Lives In Any Way She Can

Madagascar‘s Gloria is the most sensible of the four protagonists in Madagascar, constantly helping others to visualize difficult situations through an optimistic lens.

Being a Virgo, she is naturally smart, but it must be noted that her intelligence is based more on emotion than logic. While blessed with a limitless capacity for manipulation, Gloria tends to use her Zodiac-given talents to improve her friends’ lives in any way she can.

6 Libra — Hiccup Horrendous Haddock Protects Toothless Despite The Risks

Hiccup is depicted as a timid and ingenious young man, preferring to carve out his own niche rather than follow in his father’s footsteps. He manifests his Libra energy when he meets Toothless for the first time, dedicating himself to keeping the little dragon safe from those who wish him harm.

In the How to Train Your Dragon franchise, Hiccup demands that the Vikings stop their pointless war against the dragons, proving once and for all why he deserves to lead the Hooligan tribe.

5 Scorpio — Princess Fiona Doesn’t Permit Anyone To Walk Over Her

Fiona’s typical princess facade is quickly shattered when she battles Monsieur Hood and his Merry Men with her patently un-princesslike martial abilities.

She is the quintessential Scorpio not only because she chooses Shrek over Lord Farquaad but also because everything she does is derived from her passion for justice and fairness. Fiona is not someone who permits people to walk all over her.

4 Sagittarius — Oscar’s Low Self-Esteem Doesn’t Stop Him From Being Courageous

Oscar’s zeal to make a name for himself is emblematic of the Sagittarius, a sign known for its recklessness as much as for its arrogance.

That said, he sometimes allows his low self-esteem to steer his decisions, leading to outcomes that could have been easily avoided had he simply considered the ramifications of his choices. While he habitually exaggerates his achievements, Oscar is one of the more courageous characters in Shark Tale.

3 Capricorn — Tighten’s Innate Sense Of Suspicion Helps Him See Through Megamind’s Ruse

Hal Stewart, eventually known as the hilariously misspelled Tighten, doesn’t appreciate himself enough at first, a trait that paradoxically reverses when he accumulates vast amounts of power.

He demonstrates all the features of the Capricorn, particularly the sign’s propensity for ruthlessness. Tighten’s innate skepticism is how he figures out the attempt to trick him (Metro Man’s fake return in Megamind‘s third act).

2 Aquarius — Vanessa Bloome Is Empathetic And Congenial

As an Aquarius, The Bee Movie‘s Vanessa Bloome is nothing if not empathetic and congenial, directing her efforts to prevent bees from going extinct. She immediately agrees to assist Barry in his quest to protect his species, offering her help without expecting anything in return.

Vanessa’s goodness is repaid a thousandfold when her endeavors succeed, restoring the balance of nature and saving humanity from a devastating environmental apocalypse. Only an Aquarius possesses the willpower and benevolence to effect such a large-scale change.

1 Pisces — Gran Crood Adores Her Family To The Moon And Back

Gran from The Croods is stubborn and playful, a combination that bothers her son-in-law to no end. Although the Pisces sign is famous for its idealism, she doesn’t quite illustrate its aspects at first glance.

However, she ultimately places her dislike for Grug on the backburner in favor of her extended family, thoroughly establishing her as a Pisces. Gran camouflages her difficult past with a veneer of pure sass, but it’s clear that she adores her daughter and grandchildren to the moon and back.
