Marvel Announces Ghost Rider: Kushala Infinity Comic | CBR

Marvel Comics has announced Ghost Rider: Kushala, the latest title in its Marvel Unlimited-exclusive Infinity Comics lineup.

Spinning out of the Spirits of Vengeance: Spirit Rider one-shot Marvel published earlier this year, Ghost Rider: Kushala is co-written by Jaime Luis Gomez, better known as Taboo, a founding member of the Black Eyed Peas. Taboo is joined on the Infinity Comics title by co-writer B. Earl, artists Guillermo Sanna and Vanesa del Rey and colorist Jordie Bellaire.

Ghost Rider: Kushala is an eight-part series that is set to debut its first installment on Marvel Unlimited on Oct. 7, with subsequent issues hitting the platform every Thursday. What’s more, ahead of the new title’s launch, the aforementioned Spirits of Vengeance: Spirit Rider one-shot will be available to read on Marvel Unlimited starting Monday, Oct. 4.

“She’s the Sorcerer Supreme of the 1800s and a Ghost Rider-turned-Spirit Rider — the only one who’s managed to tame her spirit of vengeance,” an official synopsis for Ghost Rider: Kushala reads. “But when someone comes after Kushala and her ancestral line, all hell breaks loose. Taboo (of the Black Eyed Peas) and B. Earl join with artist Guillermo Sanna for a wild ride through the past, present and future of the Marvel Universe — and tell the story of the one extraordinary family who must fight to save it all!”

At this point, Taboo and B. Earl are certainly no strangers to penning Marvel comic books, having previously written the Kushala-centric Spirits of Vengeance: Spirit Rider #1. The duo also wrote Marvel’s recent Werewolf by Night limited series, which ran for four issues from October 2020 to January 2021. Finally, Taboo and B. Earl wrote the afterword for Marvel’s Voices: Indigenous Voices #1, which hit comic shops in November 2020.

Sanna is known for his artistic work on such Marvel titles as Bullseye, Luke Cage, Iron Fist: Phantom Limb and the Amazing Spider-Man: Sins Rising Prelude. Bellaire, meanwhile, has lent her coloring talents to countless titles over the years, including Marvel books like Black Widow and Superior Spider-Man, as well as DC Comics like Batman and John Constantine: Hellblazer.
